If you find yourself in southwest Kansas City, it's hard to miss this beloved local institution, with its name in large letters on one side, neon on the other. Danny Edwards Boulevard BBQ occupies a large free-standing industrial building alongside a major thoroughfare, where it moved in 2007 after an illustrious run in the city center. There is a lot of history behind the second-generation restaurant, and when Edwards moved, so did his trademark pink concrete pig statue that stands outside the door greeting diners as it did in past locations.
